The combined decades of construction experience within the practice gives us insight into achieving results which are even more convincing in reality than in our carefully drawn plans and visualisations.

If the project budget permits, we believe the inclusion of artisan detail - in carved stonework, interior plasterwork, or high-quality decorative joinery - creates the opportunity for delight and pride in the client for years to come.
We also believe that architectural integrity should filter down from the overall scheme design to the smaller design decisions, correctly and appropriately, in the way the greatest buildings have achieved it. Putting together correctly detailing materials is one of our firms’ great strengths, but we are never too proud to work with a builder or individual artisan to achieve the best result for any budget.
We wanted the roof to feel heavy, to visibly show the depth and weight of the earth above it but then creating the illusion of that mass being barely supported, almost floating above.
Our classical buildings are part of a tradition here but are also evolutionary. It is often remarked that they have elegance and approachability, as well as some wit, as their hallmark.
