A new country house set in an historic parkland setting below the wooded edge of the Cotswold escarpment.
The new house replaced an unsightly late 19th Century farmhouse that stood on the site of a former neo-classical early 18th Century mansion house. The design for the house was based on a compact square plan of classical proportions with principal rooms positioned around a central top-lit stair hall.
The house is just under 7000 square feet in area with a separate outbuilding for garaging, plant room and stores. The compact plan and well insulated building envelope makes the building very economical to run, assisted by ground source heat pump technology.
