Project 598

A sensitively designed extension to a Grade II* listed 17th Century rectory.

Although a stunning house, our clients were in need of a large family kitchen and dining room with easy access to the extensive gardens to the south. Our scheme involved infilling a redundant walled backyard, providing a contemporary open plan interior that linked the house to the staff cottage without outwardly affecting the setting or character of the listed house.

A new spiral-stair tower was designed to access a new first floor studio over the kitchen.
