Originally consisting of a stone cottage and attached barn on a steep incline, this property suffered from a poorly-considered layout, a lack of any amenities and a difficult access.
Using an old photograph of the property as reference, the barn was partially rebuilt and extended. The interior layout of the house was completely redesigned with clean, contemporary interiors and included the creation of a new entrance hall and construction of a new wing. The project also involved the conversion of an adjacent cottage and barn to provide a gym, media room and ancillary accommodation.
The project won a regional Federation of Master Builders award and was shortlisted for a National Lighting Design award.
